Weekend Recap: Independence Day edition

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great time celebrating Fourth of July this year! It was a fun weekend for us spending time with my family.

We started out the weekend with middle of the night first smiles from this girl!

Then Saturday morning, one of my best friends from high school and owner of Savvy Photography took newborn pics of Luna.

I've only seen one finished pic so far but it is absolutely beautiful. If you're in the Provo/Orem area of Utah, I highly suggest checking out her FB page. She's not only great at the picture taking part but she's got mad mom skillz in getting fussy babies settled for two-hour photo shoots. Ha!

I was nervous that Lina was going to be a crying mess the whole time now that she's past that super sleepy newborn phase, but she did great!

Saturday afternoon we hung out outside and tried to get Jack interested in running through the sprinkler.

He was NOT impressed. Lol.

But he did have fun hanging out with his Uncle Rusty.

And his daddy.

And his sister.

Who gave us more smiles. :)

Who hung out with her Grammy.

And her mommy.

And her mommy and brother. :)

Monday for the holiday we went over to the park for the town celebration. Despite Jack getting lost for about five minutes and giving me a heart attack, we had fun.

We ended the night with a beautiful sunset.

And lots of fireworks and mosquitos. Lol.

It was a fun weekend!
