Weekend Recap!

Hey readers!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We got a visit from one of our favorite people this weekend when Daniel got to come home for a couple of days. This long distance stuff SUCKS, but it's all for the greater good, I know. :)

Hopefully it won't have to last much longer. We've had quite a bit of interest in our home this week, one deal almost went through but the potential buyers changed their minds at the last minute. So *whomp whomp* a little disappointing, but we'll just keep hoping for the best.

Also, the weather here, you guys. It's making me rethink this whole move to colder area thing. It's been gorgeous!! I was outside for an extended amount of time yesterday SANS JACKET. Beautiful. We'll be up into the 70s this week. Although it looks like Jack and I are going on a little trip to my parent's house this week so it won't be quite as warm where we're going. Still though, I am going to get outside and soak up the sun!

We did some of that this weekend.

Saturday we (helped) fill my massive protein craving at Texas Roadhouse. Jack got to ride the saddle and looked oh-so-adorable doing it. He's kind of been on a cowboy kick lately. He told me at Target the other day that he needed some "partner pants" so he could say, "Howdy, partner! Yeehaw!" while wearing them. LOL.

Saturday afternoon/evening we had another showing, so we took the pups over the park and hung out and enjoyed the most beautiful weather!!

"Mommy I'm so comfy here!"

And Jack made a friend. It's like his mission in life whenever we go somewhere. He has to make a friend. He gets really shy leading up to it, but as a shy person myself, I am so proud of him to see him introduce himself to kids on the playground. He found a little girl a little younger than him and went up to her and said, "Hi, I'm Jack. What's your name?" just like a little pro. And then they hung out the rest of the time. And he was so sweet and gentle. He isn't a pushy kid and was really patient for her to catch up to him. It was darling. I was listening to him tell her all about why the playground has holes in it (like the grating) "so you can push these wood chips through the holes!" She was like, uhh yeah okay, kid. haha.

Too much cutes. When we left, he told me, "I can't leave now. We have to stick together." bahaha. My kid needs some friends. lol.

My plan once we move is to get him into a fun summer camp or playgroup or something where he can spend more time socializing. He's ready for it for sure.

Sunday was super lazy. We hung out and watched Super Mario Bros and enjoyed our last day with Daniel before he had to head up north for work yesterday evening.

Now, we're back to Monday and are getting ready to go visit my parents for a few weeks. Hope you all had a great weekend and are having a great start to your week!
