23 Weeks Update!

Hey everyone!

This pregnancy is flying by so quickly I'm starting to lose track of which week it is! It's been continually busy around here trying to get our house sold so I have been spending most of my days cleaning like a crazy person and trying to still fulfill all of my mom duties. I'm solo parent as of late since Daniel began his new job. I am so proud of him for working so hard and having to do it away from us for an unknowable amount of time.

It's been a hard week so far, but I know in the long run it'll all be for the best, so I just have to keep reminding myself of that. We are incredibly lucky in my household to have such a hardworking husband and father. The distance isn't easy, but hopefully it won't be for long. It's been so much fun having my brother Rusty staying with us this week. We are probably going to be visiting him and my parents in the weeks coming up, which Jack will love! He always enjoys fun trips to Green River.

So back to pregnancy, wow, the time. With Jack, I wished each day away. This time, I am trying to enjoy it more. I know how quickly it all goes by. The second trimester has been pretty good to me. I am hoping these weeks hang on a little longer. Third trimester is fun in certain ways, but I am not looking forward to being super huge and tired and unable to get comfortable while sleeping, etc.

Let's get to the update, shall we?

And yeah, you caught me. This pic is from 22 weeks (if you recognize the shirt from my IG post the other day) but I had to get it while hubby was still home. Jack isn't as trustworthy with a camera. ha!

How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain: +10
Maternity clothes? Still just stretchy stuff from my closet.
Stretch marks? No new ones, still.
Sleep: Much better. The insomnia seems to be leaving me alone the last couple weeks.
Best moment this week: Getting to see my belly wiggle and jump from the outside. These stronger movements are my favorite part about pregnancy.
Miss Anything? Just my husband. :(
Movement: Lots!!
Food cravings: Bagles and cream cheese. All day, e'ry day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: That heartburn still sneaks up on me. I'm on a daily med for it now and that helps.
Gender: GIRL

Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Still nesting, heartburn, frequent urination, saw the linea nigra for the first time this week, some swelling. :/
Belly Button in or out? Still in

Wedding rings on or off? on (I did have to take them off one day because of swelling.)
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still bad cabin fever and a little anxiety. There is just a lot in the works right now. I don't like not having a clear-cut plan. haha.
Looking forward to: Getting our house sold! We had one showing already. Hopefully more soon!

All in all, things are going pretty well right now. Getting the house in tip-top shape has been really good for me in giving me more to focus on, which is good. I do better when I have a project to work on. Jack and I are having lots of fun mommy/Jack Bean time.

We've had some pretty crazy weather lately. We go from sunny and 60 one day to snow two days later!

He misses his daddy, but getting to video chat online with him every night makes it a lot easier. Usually we eat dinner "together." haha. That is pretty fun.

Anyway, thanks for reading about my pretty mundane day-t0-day life stuff! I love being able to journal all of this stuff. In 6 months I know I can look back on these posts and know the sacrifices were all worth it.
