My little sister just moved in with us along with her two pups, so for the time being We have four dogs and three adults and a tiny little Jack Bean living here. It's a full house but we're having a blast.
Nicki is currently watching Jack while I work, but is also working on finding a job too. I'll keep her as my baby sitter/personal assistant for as long as I can ;)
We went and saw a Plain White T's show the other night. It was a blast!
Aside from work, I've been busy continuing my time as a lactation educator for Free2Feed's Hurricane chapter. It's been a lot of fun! I love sharing my knowledge and passion for breast feeding, especially with new and pregnant moms. There is just so much info out there I wish I would have known sooner.
Saturday, on behalf of F2F and because I wanted to, we went to the great cloth diaper change event and made history by changing Jack's (cloth) diaper at exactly the same time as thousands of moms around the world. Pretty cool :)
Along with the diapers, there were a bunch of vendor booths and I got this super cute hand made sign from reclaimed wood :)
Mostly I am just loving my mommy life. Jack is growing and changing every day and I love that I get to watch it happen. This morning we woke up and he was lying next to me in bed. He cups my cheek and first words out of his mouth were: "I wuv you, mommy" <3 Seriously, I live for those moments.
He's now 25 months and talking and talking and talking (As i am sure many of you on FB are sick of hearing about ;))
Some Jack funnies as of late:
"Mommy, I go talk to her." (He says about anyone he wa ts to see and talk to regardless of gender. Lol)
"Wook at me! I really rock playing my instruments!"
He also loves giving (and receiving) compliments. "I wike yours necklace, mommy." (Your and my are often plural lol)
And if I compliment him (or he thinks it's a compliment)- me: "you're so funny, Jack Bean."
J: "thank you."
He's still so polite. Today he told his Captain American balloon: "nice to meet you, Captain."
Lol!! This kid certainly offers no shortage of humor around here. We have our tough moments for sure, the picky eating, reluctance with naps, but overall, I'm loving this age. (Remind me I said this a year from now and he's three. I hear it's worse than two. Lol)
Speaking of growth...
My little skinny guy is finally sorta filling out his 2T clothes and no longer wears his 18 months stuff. Finally!
Almost riding his bike!
Lot's of changes are happening in my life that I can't talk about yet, but I am so happy with where things are right now. I'm so grateful for the amazing people in my life. Also, how much are all of you loving spring?!!
