23 Months!!

I guess I'd quickly better do this 23 month update on my little man before the two-year mark passes! We're almost there. It's crazy. Why on Earth didn't my pregnancy fly by this fast?! Oh yeah, no cute little baby/toddler to distract me :)

These days we are watching Jack learn and grow at such a rapid rate he seriously changes daily. If you've ever had or been around a toddler for a good amount of time, you know what I'm talking about. Part of me loves it, but part of me fully understands how fleeting these moments are. I know it sounds cliche, but I really do try to enjoy every moment. Some, not so much fun. But I try and remember little things about each day because these are the memories that are more important to me than anything.

His cray face. :)

Jack is still talking up a storm. I can ask him what he did during his day while I am at work and he actually tells me what he and the sitter has done.

(eg. "I ate chickens for lunch and I pooped!")

haha yay!

He comes up with the funniest phrases sometimes. I have no idea where he picks up this stuff. For example, if we're sitting on the couch watching a movie, he wants me to put my arm around him. If I don't, he moves my arm around him and says, "close the gate, mommy." LOL. What? Makes sense if you think about it. haha.

He can count to 30 without assistance. Is starting to recognize letters. Knows so many shapes it's ridiculous. We have this cute little wooden block with wooden shapes that fit inside and he knows more of the shapes than I do. "It's the trapezoid!"

More cray face ;)

He loves to sing. He loves the Charlie XCX song, "Boom Clap" and of course he still loves his T-Swift and Katy Perry.

He also loves Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and his ABCs.

His toddlerhood is in full effect these days. He's really giving me a challenge with all of these tantrums. He mostly just gets upset when he doesn't get his own way. I mean, who doesn't? But I am working on teaching him that even when you're upset you probably shouldn't smack your mom in the face....:/

Ugh. The hitting. Not fun. We're working on it.

He's still my sweet boy 90 percent of the day, but geeze, the thinks-its-funny-to-slap-mommy routine is not awesome.

The best part about having a kiddo who can communicate is that at least I know what he's upset about when he is mad about something. It usually helps him get over his fit throwing pretty quickly.

He looks serious here but he really was having fun :)

Jack is starting to make friends. His best friend right now is my friend Sarah's little boy Nathan. He always wants to go play with "Nafan" at the park.

He still loves his cartoons.

Getting into trouble.

He is loving our puppy. He adores her and she adores him. It's pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen.

He's showing an interest in the potty so we're kind of going with the flow on that. Pun not intended. lol.

We've been loving the gorgeous early spring. I know it usually has been cold and rainy on his bday the past two years so I'm interested to see how it turns out this year. Still contemplating our plans for that day.

Park time!

I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! I start my new gig tomorrow.  A little nervous but excited. I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks for tuning in to our monthly update! It's fun bragging sharing about what is going on with Jack and our family! ;)
