New year, new goals.

Last night Daniel, Jack and I spent the night eating pizza and watching movies. Jack was out by 11 and Dan and I shoved through until about 1, Woot! Party animals over here :)

Pizza!!! (Sans cheese for my dairy intolerant kid though)

It was a great way to kick off the New Year - with my sweet little family. Hoping for more good times ahead.

When I was a kid, the start of a new year didn't really mean all that much to me. I didn't understand the feeling of change in the air when December ends and January begins. The start of the school year was always the time I felt ready for something different and rejuvenated with goals and aspirations for the future. And I suppose that is why I still love the fall so much. But now that I'm older and far removed from my time as a school girl, I welcome the start of a new year with gusto and excitement at all that may happen in the coming months.

The past year was probably one of the best and hardest of my life. For so many reasons. I expect this next year to probably be more of the same. Hopefully more of the best and less of the hard stuff though ;)

And my goals. Resolutions. Whatever you want to call them. I want to make a few changes.

1. (Cliche alert) Get healthy! I want to really work on meal planning not just for my sake, but for my family. I also need to get heart healthy. I am not really worried about losing pounds as much as I am just working on my cardiovascular health. Heart issues run in my family and I want to make sure I am taking care of mine.

2. Keep my car clean. I'm gross. lol. Well, not gross. But I am notorious for leaving crumpled receipts and wrappers in my car console. It's bad and it's a habit that needs to stop.

3. Be more social. If you know me, IRL, I am somewhat of a recluse. Between work and mom stuff I never feel like I have time to hang out with people in person, but I am going to try harder to make friends and be more social.

I am sure there will be other goals that pop up along the way throughout the year, but for now I feel like I'm off to a good start.

Have a great year, everyone!

xoxo
