Luna Marina: Month Five

I'm like two weeks late doing this post, NBD. Life is crazy but at least I'm getting it done, yo.

So here we go.

Baby girl is five months. FIVE I TELL YOU. And I may or may not have cried a little when this happened. It's nuts and I seriously want to freeze time while simultaneously loving every second of watching this cute girl grow up.

Weight: 16-17 lbs ish.

Length: 26-27 inches ish (honestly I didn't check. Whoops)

Clothing: Well into 3-6 month stuff, a lot of 6-9 and is in size 2 diapers, bordering on size 3.

Teething: Little girl's bottom teeth can't decide what the hell they're doing. Some days I swear they're gonna pop right out and others they go back down. So current status, still gummy smiles and I loooove it. :)

As I've already shared on FB and IG, Luna started sitting up unassisted a couple weeks ago. She also loves to stand by holding onto our fingers.

She loves teething on her BFF Sophie.

Eating:

She's started eating some purees. I know, I know. Baby led weaning is the way to go. And I do plan on doing that. But she's not getting the chew and swallow concept at all, which I could mean she's really not ready for solids BUT try eating a meal around this girl and listen to her scream at you as she reaches desperately for your food. So purees are handy to feed her for a little snack while we eat. So far she's only had apples and squash. Apples she looooves. The jury is still out on squash.

Sleep:
She takes about 3-5 naps a day depending and sleeps from about 8-8 each night. We co-sleep so I know she wakes up a few times a night but usually I just have to latch her and she falls right back to sleep and only actively nurses like once or maybe twice.

She sometimes naps on her own or in the swing or in the carrier. Just depends on the day and how quiet Jack is being.

She's reached stage 9 clingy. Still not quite as bad as Jack because sometimes I can still put her in her swing for a couple minutes and I can still occasionally leave her sight for a few minutes at a time without her rage screaming. But progress on putting together the house has slowed greatly because she doesn't like being put down. :|

Like, you'd think she'd like her play mat. Nope. This lasted for all of maybe three minutes.

Luna absolutely loves Freyja. And Freyja loves her. But the pup has also wised up about getting too close to sticky, grabby, pully baby fingers. Lol.

She is such a mommy's girl, which I looove. :)

but fits the bill for daddy's girl too. She immediately starts giggling at him in the evenings when he gets home from work.

And of course she loves her big bro. <3

Poor Luna has been sick the past few days. Her first cold. :( I'm hoping she gets over it quickly.

Sick baby snugs. <3

Words cannot express how much I adore this sweet girl. Seriously, I don't know how I lucked out on getting the best kids in the world, but I totally did.
