Luna Marina: Month Four

Wow! Just wow. So much going on over here. Packing, organizing, moving, momming. It's a lot. Hence why I am a litttttle late on getting up Luna's four month update over here on the ole' blog. I'm sure Luna will forgive me...someday. ;)

I gotta admit, as much as I love snuggly newborn days, I really LOVE this stage. Luna is a smiling, giggling little chatter box and it is amazing.

She's seriously the sweetest little baby. So full of smiles and has the cutest chuckle...that I have yet to capture on video. Every time I get out the phone to get some video, she's like: OH GURL, YOU KNOW IMA DO MY CUTE FACE POSE NOW.

So at least I get a cute little grin. :P She's officially THISCLOSE to sitting up unassisted.

She loves to stand. Loves chilling in her bumbo. Is kinda over the swing. LOVES to be held/carried/walked around like a princess in her chariot (aka mah arms.)

It's cool though. After Jack, needy babies are kinda my jam. It's all I know so this time around, it's just the norm. And best of all, packing around an extra 15 lbs in my arms 24/7 is GREAT for weight loss. ha.

Here's where we're at with the stats:

Weight: 15 lbs 6 oz. (85th percentile!)

Length: 26 inches (95th percentile!)

Clothing: Well into 3-6 month stuff and is in size 2 diapers!

Teething: Judging by the oral fixation my daughter seems to have with just about anything she can get her little fingers on and the amount of drool that drenches every single one of her outfits (or a million drool bibs she goes through each day), little Lune is officially teething. Her bottom gums are white and I expect some little teefers popping through in the next month or so. Jack had his first two bottoms sometime in month 5.

So far, Sophie teething toy is worth the hype.

Eating: Luna is pretty much still exclusively breastfed. I have yet to do any bottles just because we've never been separated for her to need one yet. I did let her try some of my peach the other day and she was...ummm not a fan? lol. I think it was a bit sour. I tried again the next day and it was more well received that time. Probably a sweeter peach. I plan to do Baby Led Weaning with her like I did Jack, but am not really in a big hurry to start until she's sitting on her own, maybe has a tooth or two and is showing more of an interest.

Sleep: Not much has changed with her sleep. We put away the rock n' play about two weeks ago and she's been exclusively sleeping in my bed ever since. It's seriously the best. I am a huge co-sleeping fan. With Jack, it was harder in the beginning because I held off too long on co-sleeping. I think life would have been so much better had I not waited. And I'm totally NOT saying that co-sleeping is the only way to go. Only you know if you and your baby is up for such a sleeping arrangement. Some people have partners/spouses who are super heavy sleepers and that can make it dangerous to co-sleep. In fact, there are a whole list of safe co-sleeping practices I am going to link you to here just in case you are interested in pursuing that avenue.

Luna is still quite the cat napper. But considering she's Jack2.0, I'm not shocked. It actually works better for our lifestyle anyway. She'll sleep anywhere as long as I have her in a carrier. Speaking of, got this new ring sling and it is GORGEOUS!

Speaking of, LUNA LOVES:

Being held.
Being in a baby carrier of some sort.
Kisses (both giving and receiving)
Her paci's
Sophie the Giraffe (teething toy)
Jack
Me
Her daddy
Her plethora of extended family. :P
Our pups
Tummy time
Sitting in her bumbo
Sitting in the boppy
Basically loves sitting upright
Talking/squealing
Music
Reading
Watching TV (especially Teletubbies. lol) Don't worry, her screen time is extremely limited.

DISLIKES:
Gas
Being tired
Getting dressed/undressed
Being ignored
Sitting back (at an angle)
Wearing hats
Being in the car (although this is getting better)

Listening to Luna talk and squeal and make the cutest noises is probably the highlight of my day. It's like she always wants to be part of the conversation. If you want to check this out, follow me on Instagram and check out my InstaStory. She's gonna be quite the chatter box. (again See, Jack.)

I just LOVE being a mom to this sweet girl. Luna rounds out (squares out?) our family perfectly. We love you so much, sweet baby. <3
