Friday Favorites: Entertainment Edition

Hey guys!

I'm back with another edition of Friday Favorites! I was gone to visit family last week hence no post. But you can catch my recap of that good time here. :)

This week I wanted to share what I have been enjoying and entertaining myself with when I'm not busy with mom stuff. You know, that tiny bit of time I get each most some days to do something just for me. I really struggle making that balance. Like many other moms, I put myself last. But that can only happen for so long until there's nothing left to give. So lately, I've been trying to put more of a priority on carving out some time for myself each day. Even if that means sacrificing a little sleep at night after I get the kiddos to sleep.

So here's what I'm enjoying lately.

1. This book.

If you guys are looking for a fun, exciting series to check out, I highly recommend the Throne of Glass books by Sarah J. Maas. Good reading, right here. This is the latest book and so far, it's amazeballs. Just as I expected.

2. This song. Okay, who isn't obsessed with this summer hit? I've been a Halsey fan for a while but had never really listened to The Chainsmokers. But this song is just so damn catchy.

3. This show.

I was a HUGE Parenthood fan and was so sad when it got canceled last year. But this looks promising and similar to that genre. Don't let me down, NBC. You can stream this on NBC's website if you missed it airing this week or prob watch it on Hulu if you have that. Grab some tissues though.

4. Also this show.

I've gotten bored of some shows I've been into over the past couple years so I was excited to see two new shows pop up that piqued my interest. Plus, I am a huge Kristen Bell fan. I'll watch anything she's in.

5. This game.

Let's be honest, who hasn't enjoyed playing this game this summer? If you are a parent of young kids, it's such a fun way to get out of the house and have fun together. Sadly, if you live in a rural area like I do, it's not as great - especially with all of the updates. The Pokestops are pretty far away and the pickings of Pokemon are pretty slim. I STILL don't even have a Pikachu. :( BUT it's still a fun game and Jack is even better at catching them than I am. So there's that.

I hope you all have a great weekend ahead! Enjoy the beginnings of Autumn! Unless you live in Southern Utah. Then, just enjoy the weather being a little less hot. :P
