Thanksgiving Recap!

Hey blog readers!

Hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving. I know I did. I either have a full-on baby bump now or I am still retaining the massive amounts of food I ate over the weekend. It's probably a little bit of both, TBH. ;) Speaking of bump, I am already behind on my weekly updates! I will get one posted soon, I promise. Because I know ya'll are just dying to find out how I am feeling these days. *sarcasm font needed*

We went to my parent's house this year for the holiday. We didn't get to travel until Thursday, so we held off on actually prepping and devouring eating our feast until Friday. My little sister and her girlfriend joined us that evening too so it worked out nicely.

Jack had so much fun helping grammy make pies.

He had So much fun in fact, he skipped nap. And decided to crash five minutes before Thanksgiving dinner was served. Whoops. lol.

Fortunately for me, I got to eat my own dinner in peace for the first time in some years. :) #winning.

Saturday, Jack helped grandpa stack a bunch of fire wood. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever. He didn't want to leave grandpa's side.

One time, my dad needed to go get some tools and didn't want Jack trailing behind him in case it was dangerous. So he asked Jack to stay behind and watch the dogs. Jack's response: "No thanks. I come with you. Mommy! Stay here and watch the dogs."

LOL.

Bossy britches, that kid. He's always saying the funniest stuff to me, but I love it when other family members get to be there to hear it too. I have to be careful I don't laugh too much though because I don't want him to feel self conscious or that I don't take him seriously. But it's just too cute.

It mostly ended up being just a really relaxing few days at home with my family. We were bummed to have to head back to reality on Sunday. Yesterday, I'll be honest, I was laaaazy.

Today has been quite a bit more productive. We went and did some shopping, had lunch with daddy at Chick Fil A and got Freyja all cleaned up at the dog groomer. She looks so much better! Speaking of, she is finally a year old! I'm not totally sure what day her official birthday is, but it was likely last week sometime.

Anyway, hope everyone is recovering from the holiday and is quickly preparing for the next one just 24 days away! Most of our Christmas shopping is already taken care of. Jack asks every day when Santa is coming so I think I need to make a cute advent calendar or something. :)
