Changes...again.

Who else watched the Blood Moon eclipse Sunday night?! Amazing eh?

The Blood Moon seems to be kicking off some major changes around here.

Major changes.

No, I'm not turning to a werewolf.

BUT...

I AM turning into a Stay at Home Mom!!

Yup. You read that right. I'm going to take the plunge and do it.

I can't wait to have more time with this little bean!

Growing up, I always worked. I've had a job since I was 12. No joke. Like a legit job. Paying taxes and shit. And I don't really know what it is like to not be employed. But since having Jack, my desire to stay home has only grown. Until now we financially weren't really able to make this dream come true. So I bid my time and put on my big girl panties and went to work every day. (Well three days a week in recent years...)

And luckily I have an amazingly supportive and hard freaking working husband who has made this wish come true for me. There are so many factors at play here, but we're ready to make this transition and I am so grateful I am going to be able to stay home with my little Jack Bean. His days of begging me to stay home day after day have finally paid off! ;)

Weirdly, Sunday afternoon after I'd finally made my official decision to put in my two weeks at my job, I clicked on ole trusty Cosmopolitans's Facebook post regarding Horoscopes. Do I usually believe these? Newp. But they're fun to read.

Well I got this little gem...

Cancer:

"Sunday's blood moon lunar eclipse sets off a flurry of exciting activity at work. If you have felt like you were pushing against the current recently in terms of balancing work and home life, now may be the time for you to decide what your priorities are and throw your self in! You will be amazed by what opportunities come your way in the next few weeks."

Crazy, eh?

Anyway, enough hoodoo here. Let's get to the fun part about what we did this past weekend!

It was a blast. We went spur of the moment on Saturday to visit my old Alma Mater Southern Utah University for Homecoming! We went to the parade with my sister in law Courtney since her hubby, aka: my bro, was in the parade for his animal/reptile club.

My brother was the hit of the parade with that giant Boa. (Of which he has a smaller version at home. Keep reading to see pics.)

I ran into a bunch of friends at the parade. It was fun to reconnect and have a good time with family.

Afterward we hung out at my brother's house. Daniel got to hold Inigo, my bro's snake. (You may have seen Mister Jack fearlessly hold this snake a few weeks ago if you're a regular reader.) I opted to not hold the snake at this time. :P

Unfortunately Jack started feeling feverish. Great..... We all JUST got over being sick. So we headed home.

Poor Jack Bean is a trooper, but we spent most of Sunday and yesterday just chilling and relaxing so he could get feeling better. I hate it when my kiddo is sick. Hoping he is able to make a quick recovery.

Anyway, that's our excitement! How are things going with all of you? Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Happy Tuesday!
