So here's what we've been up to lately.
Jack got another big boy haircut. You guys, he seriously loves to get hair cuts. That morning I woke up and told him that we needed to go and he brings me his shoes asap. The salon wasn't even open yet! lol. I distracted him with breakfast and some Dora the Explorer, but you best believe he was ready to go as soon as it was open.
He giggled when she used the clippers and he sat so still. The hair lady told me he was the best-behaved two year old she'd ever given a haircut to. haha. Glad to know Jack has his strengths. ;)
All done :)
After that we went to lunch with our Poppa. My sister Nicki left to go back to Colorado on Friday, so Thursday we had sort of a farewell lunch.

Friday morning, we mostly just helped her get ready to leave. We finished packing, did one last lunch and then she was gone. I thought Jack would be devastated, but so far he's coping alright. Kids are resilient, man. Plus, I think he's pretty confident she's just been at "work" for a few days. Meanwhile I miss her lots!!! (come back, Nicki!!!)
We also said farewell to her dogs. I thought I would be sad to see them go, but after Mr. Rico Suave (his real name. legit.) decided that my puppy was ready to be deflowered (had just barely entered womanhood a couple days prior) he managed to mate with her twice. NOOOOO. I'm really not happy about it.
Keeping the trouble makers apart. A little too late. Grr.
Lesson learned from this, as soon as a dog hits their first heat cycle, they are fertile (naive moment on my part.) And get your freaking dogs fixed/spayed/neutered. (lesson for my sissy ;)).
So I'll keep you all posted on whether or not we have new pups in two months or not. Bleh. Anyone want a puppy?! ;)
Saturday was the day of the Big Sadlier Family Reunion! Normally we have to travel a good 8 hours to get to the reunion. Last year I got strep, not good times. But this year, the reunion was held only a couple hours away. Much better.
We had so much fun. Jack loved playing with all of his cousins. It took place at this cute little cabin in the middle of nowhere. Super cute and gorgeous scenery.

He had way too much fun playing with that water hose.
Beautiful!
Daniel got a chance to see his grandpa we hadn't seen in a while and Jack got to meet him for the first time! We haven't seen Grandpa Howard since Daniel's dad died unexpectedly three years ago (three years ago this week actually...)
So that was really good for all of them. Then we headed home that same day since it was so close.
The rest of the weekend was pretty chill. We mostly spent Sunday cleaning and organizing. I tried a center part of my hair. Not sure how I feel about it. Lol.
Jack got in some bear cuddles while I was cleaning and that was that.
Also, how freaking cool is it that this happened??! And if you don't think it's cool, then I hope you one day take the time to open your heart and your mind a little bit. Just my thoughts. :)
Hope you all had a great weekend too!
I'm just trying to get through my Monday without drinking an entire pot of coffee. :)
