15 month update

I can't even believe we are already at the 15-month mark of having this amazing little boy in our lives. I call him a boy because aside from the diapers and the pacifier, this kid seems all boy to me. Gone is most of his baby chub (some of the thigh rolls are still there. love!) but he's talking up a storm, running around and understands more and more every day.

Drool!! Thanks, molars.

The craziest thing is that he's starting to learn how to string words together already. Just the other night he told me, "mama, bed, bay (blanket)."

Then yesterday he told me,"mama, me, bubbles."

Seriously. I am in awe of this kid's ability to learn and grow.

We've been battling a cold sent from the booger monster of hell himself, but I am hoping it's starting to ease up a little bit. This is really the first, maybe second time in his life that he's been super sick like this. Poor guy.

Booger machine. Lol

Jack is still the pickiest eater, which is hard sometimes. I continue to breastfeed. Check tomorrow's post for more on his eating/breastfeeding habits.

Messy!!

Sleep has been awesome! He's pretty much sleeping through the night every night and takes naps like a champ. After 14 loooong months of not awesome napping and scattered nighttime sleeping patterns, it's awesome to watch him do much of this on his own. That said, I am still grateful we never did cry it out. Sure, it might have taken us a few extra months to get to this point than CIO babies, but I feel like it was the right decision for our child and our family. *steps down from soapbox*

Jack's Favorites:
Bubbles
Balloons
Blanket (his favorite "bay" of all time.)
Bugs (oh the bugs.)
Binkis
Books
Daddy
Doggy (pup pup)
and Danger.

This kid. Keeps me on my toes.

I honestly always pictured being the mom of a little girl, so finding out I was having a boy kind of threw me for a loop, but I love it.

Loves this pup.

I keep thinking I love each stage of his development the most, but then the next one hits and I love it even more. I don't love the teething (he's got at least 12 right now, four molars included) and dealing with picky eating, wondering if he's growing enough (still at about 22 lbs, my skinny guy) but overall it's been so great being this baby's mama.

Post-bath towel snuggles.

Sick day with daddy. :(

Cool kid :)

Taking pup pup to the park, of course.

Happy 15 months, Jack Bean. :)
