Late nights and cuddles

It's been a rough few days of the teething monster visiting at our house again. Jack is doing better this time around than he did when he got his first two, but it's still no picnic. Woke up this morning to find that his top two middle teeth have broken through the gums, so at least the end is in sight! 

In the meantime, we've been enjoying lots of baby cuddles. 

And Jack has also found a new friend. He looooves this monkey.

I call it the magical sleeping monkey because as soon as I pick up this boy to rock him to sleep and hand him his monkey, he's down for the count. The teething means I don't always get to put him down right away, but it's a good start toward heavy night sleeping.

Now, I have to get back to my own late night. Stuck in the office until likely midnight tonight covering the local general election. Good times. 

At least we got pizza :)
