Seven month update!

My little Jack is seven months old! I'm a good few days past his actual seven-month-mark, but I wanted to wait to post until I had the hard stats from his doctor appointment on Friday. And then we ended up dealing with the teething monster all weekend, so I am just now getting around to posting.

Jack Finn Seven Month Stats:

Weight: 19 lbs!
Height: 27 Inches
Teeth: Still only the bottom two, but more are sure to pop out soon. (please!)
Food: Still drinks mostly breast milk. I follow the philosophy of thought that solid foods really are just for fun for the first year of life and shouldn't be used as the primary source of nutrition. More on our journey to solids food later.
Diapers: Still mostly in cloth, but at night I put him in a size 4 Huggies overnight to help avoid diaper changes during the night.
Sleep: He still only wants to be held for naps (thank heavens for baby carriers) and at night, he usually sleeps pretty well only waking up two or three times to nurse. Except for when the teething monster is in town.

Skills: He's been sitting unassisted for months, but now he can pull himself up into a sitting position. He rolls all over. He scoots his tush to get around mostly, but is learning some semi-crawling/army crawl style motions. He still stands really well and is starting to pull himself up to objects like the ottoman and table.

It's just crazy to me how fast the time flies. I am loving having a baby this age, and the newborn days seem almost like a foggy memory (perhaps due to the lack of sleep?) It's tough to believe he was ever so small. It's also difficult to imagine him as anything but my baby boy. I can't even don't want to picture him running around like a crazy little boy. I do know those days are soon ahead of me though, so I am savoring this time now with my squishy little cuddle bug.

"Just busy learning, mom!"

Trying to literally climb the walls at Friday's doctor appointment.

Trying to look at all the things while sitting for the first time in a grocery cart like a big boy!

We don't eat the oatmeal at our house, we just play in it.

Nomming on carrots while teething. (while well supervised!!)

Part of me wishes I could slow down time. Just a little bit.

In the meantime I'll try and soak up all of the time I can with my best buddy :)
