Memorial Day Weekend recap

First I would like to premise this post with a quick thank you. A thank you to the men and service members who have lost their lives in the line of duty protecting our freedoms. Just the thought of it makes me tear up. My brother having served with many of these young men during his time in the Marine Corps makes me realize how easily that could have been him. So thank you to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and their families for continuing to hold on to their memories.

In honor of having lots of day off work this weekend, my sister's friend and her little girl came to visit us for the weekend and we had a BLAST, especially Mister Jack Bean who pretty much wanted to declare his love and offer a proposal of marriage to little miss N while they stayed with us. N is 31/2, so a little older, wiser and cute as can be. Jack ate it up and the two of them had so much fun. It was adorable.

We went on all kinds of adventures including trips with daddy to the grocery store to stock up on supplies.

Adventures in potty training... expect a separate post on that soon.

Adventures in me dying my hair pink - again.

Adventures at the park.

Finally it warmed up Monday. It's weird, normally our desert climate is reaching 90+ these days and it was much colder and rainier on Friday-Sunday. But Monday brightened up and we went on an adventure to Springdale, the town at the mouth of Zion National Park.

I got this rad find at an antique shop.

Jack rode this cool/falling apart horse. Lol

And we made a quick trip to a neighboring ghost town called Grafton. Pretty sure the kids saw lots of "ghosts-es."

Overall it was a really nice weekend to hang out with family and friends. It was tough coming back to work today.
Cuddle before work today <3

I'd like to take that summer vacation now ;)

Hope ya'll are having a great start to your week!
