Being thankful for happiness.

I'm going to get a little personal today on the blog.

For years I've suffered off and on from some major depression and anxiety. My teen years were not a happy time in my life and I wouldn't relive them if you paid me a million dollars. But I do know they were integral in getting me to the place I am currently at in my life. I am so thankful to be where I am at today and with whom I get to share my life.

Happiness is a journey. Not a destination.

And for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I am on the happiest part of my journey thus far.

I am so thankful for my amazing blessings; my husband, my beautiful son, my siblings and caring parents, my in-laws and extended family, grandparents, my crazy animals.

I am thankful to be in a job that I enjoy, and on a new part-time schedule that makes it much more enjoyable.

I am so thankful to be blessed with the opportunity to be a mom. And to an amazing kid. I know so many that struggle every day to achieve to be a parent. It's stressful and tiring and crazy at times, but more rewarding than I ever thought imaginable.

I am so thankful that I get to be happy today and on so many days.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
