Thanksgiving Recap and Gilmore Girls

Hey readers! How was your Thanksgiving? Great, I hope!

I'll be honest (and overshare here, as I tend to do) I've been a little down in the dumps lately. For no good reason probably. I just struggle with depression off and on and sometimes it comes in waves. Anyway, the holiday was a nice bright spot in how I've been feeling lately. I always feel better when I am able to connect with family and friends.

This year we headed back down south to spend the holiday with the Martin/Sadlier clan. My father in law made a wonderful turkey and my kids got endless loves from their Grammy Christy. It was so fun to hang out with all of my siblings in law. I married into a freaking fantastic family. For reals.

Friday, Luna and I headed to Vegas while Daniel and Jack stayed behind (Vegas is only like two hours away from the in-laws) to spend the day/night with my bestie Nur to watch....*drum roll* the GILMORE GIRLS REVIVAL ON NETFLIX.

And it was fabulous. I know a lot of people were disappointed. And I'll admit, I had different expectations. But upon reflection, I have to say I loved it. A very poetic ending. It was beautiful. And I can't wait to watch it again. I think I'll probably love it even more when I watch it a second time.

Also, Scott Patterson, could you just marry me already?? I mean, we already do the whole plural marriage thing in Utah anyway. :P

But most of all it was great to spend time with some of the best people I know. Distance is tough on friendships but I'm so lucky to have a best friend who makes it feel like no time has passed when we get together sporadically throughout the year. So this year, I am thankful for a lot. But timeless friendships is totally at the top of that list.

And on Saturday, we gathered up the rest of our stuff we still had down south at our storage unit and at my grandpa's house and Daniel brought that stuff back up in the moving truck that night and the kids and I stayed at grandpa's. My kiddos love their great poppa.

Sunday we braved the beginning of the winter storm to head home and luckily beat it just in time.

I now currently plan on hibernating for the rest of the winter. The end. :)
