33 Week Bump Update

I am currently almost halfway into the 33 week mark of this pregnancy. Wow! Some travels and being busy have delayed my ability to update properly, but here we are! Down to single-digit countdown in weeks now.

Some days, I feel like I can't possibly wait any longer to get to meet my new baby girl. And then other days, I feel so unprepared it's ridiculous and I beg her to stay in as long as possible.

Our living situation is still chaos right now. No, our house hasn't sold. Whomp whomp. :( It's pretty unclear exactly what the problem is in selling it, which just adds to my frustration. But I am at the point now where I have to stop caring so much about it because I can't handle the influx of feelings of anger and despair. I have more important things to worry about right now and feeling "woe is me" about our situation is making me feel pretty pathetic.

So I'm now turning my focus into making as many preparations as I can to get ready to have this little lady here with us soon!

Now that I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be delivering here where I currently live instead of moving to the new city where my husband is, that actually makes me feel a little bit better. At least here, Jack was born here and I know what to expect. I love my doctor and I am confident in having him as part of my birth plan.

I still need to make sure I get the pediatrician lined up for the little lady. I am actually switching Jack to a doc closer to us, so I'll just make sure he can take on newborn patients as well.

I still have a BUNCH of stuff to buy for the baby. How did this happen?? I just had a baby three years ago!

Well, since we weren't planning on having this happen again so soon, I sold a bunch of it. I still have some clothes that will work for baby girl, plus a bunch more I've purchased.

But there are a few other essentials I really need to get. Like, ummm, diapers. I guess you need those with a baby. Ha. I have cloth diapers from Jack, but I don't like to use them with newborns. Too much work.

I'd like to purchase another rocker/glider. I had one with Jack and looooved it. Baby girl also needs a dresser. I was hoping to hold off on buying one of these until after our move, but I think I might have to figure something out rather than live in the chaos of baby clothes everywhere.

I still have my trusty Ktan (somewhere around here...) and our Rock N' Play, both of which will definitely save my life in those early weeks.

Other than that, I just need to pick up a few other odds and ends, but we should be set! What about you been there done that mamas? Got any recommendations on MUST HAVES for a newborn?? I'd love to hear your suggestions. Anything that will make my life easier while I solo parent a three year old and a newborn is greatly appreciated. ha.

Anyway, enough about STUFF. Let's get to the stats.

How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain: +20
Maternity clothes? You know it.
Stretch marks? Yup, got me a couple legit ones now. Mostly around my belly button where little miss likes to rest her cute little booty and stretch out my poor skin. Ouch!
Sleep: Meh. Insomnia is baaaack.
Best moment this week: Getting my hair done! I feel like a new woman. (also getting my taxes done. Even though we owe money, I am done being stressed about it at least.)
Miss Anything? Feeling comfortable.
Movement: She's crazy, guys. She is allllways moving. I thought they were supposed to slow down at some point? I actually had to google "too much fetal movement" the other night just to make sure I shouldn't be concerned. lol. Turns out, it's normal. :)
Food cravings: No, I really don't have much of an appetite.
Queasy or sick: Nope.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: I think I might have an irritable uterus. My stomach/uterus area feels hard constantly. It's starting to get painfully uncomfortable. Plus, it comes with cramping. I am going to talk to my doc about it this week at my appointment.
Symptoms: Tired, emotional, excited, uncomfortable, heartburn, frequent urination, the usual.
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
Wedding rings on or off? On (usually)
Happy or Moody most of the time: I try really hard to be happy - at least for Jack's sake, fortunately he's a pretty amazing kid and makes it really easy.

Also, I am well aware of the fact that I look ginormous these days. I promise, I haven't gained too much weight and the fundal height of baby girl is totally spot on for her gestational age. I also promise there is NOT more than one baby in there. So you really don't have to ask. ;)

Hope you all are having an amazing weekend! Thanks for reading and keeping up with our happs here on the blog!
